WHAT a compellingly good letter presented by Stan Grodynski in Wednesday’s National in emphasising the positive aspects of how we can still attain Scottish self-determination in spite of the great disappointment of the 2014 indy referendum “No” result, and the continuous barrage of anti-SNP/Scottish Government rhetoric/innuendo by our colluding Unionist political opponents and their English press/media allies.
This political assault never stops and that latest piece of reported skulduggery by BBC Scotland’s Kaye Adams on a live radio broadcast (a ludicrously ill-conceived genocidal comparison made to the aim of getting rid of the Tories in Scotland in a political sense!) epitomises what we are up against and how certain people within the Scottish population are targeted and possibly influenced by this cheap drivel.

Negativity amongst our Scotindy compatriots (although understandable in the face of such an orchestrated anti-Scotland agenda) must not prevail. Unity is key to pushing on with a positive agenda and strategy to achieve the primary goal of gaining Scottish independence.
I tend to associate a lot of the mentioned negative comments and gripes from other indy allies/correspondents as nothing more than sheer frustration at a time when it appears there is no outlet to formally take back our country from the Unionist/Brit government charlatans who are applying all kinds of techniques to undermine and damage Scotland and try to pin all the blame on our democratically elected Scottish Government as well as the SNP, a political party that they despise for obvious reasons – a threat to their precious Union!
For many people like myself, I felt a great deal of disappointment at Nicola Sturgeon’s departure over a year ago and the fact that all other leadership candidates couldn’t tot up a popularity rating to match her standing in the eyes of the electorate. She was viewed as the girl next door who made it good as a politician and that perception of her leadership, albeit not perfect, persisted for years. However, we needed to move on in the name of Scottish self-determination and see where it takes us.

I hope and pray that the people in power who represent us now share the same aspirations and end goals, and will progress to a successful end conclusion of Scottish independence. They must get their act together pronto! I must admit that I have certainly seriously considered for the first time ever “spoiling” my ballot paper in my constituency, Edinburgh West, where another Unionist candidate, a LibDem one, is shamelessly politicising the NHS problems as well as wanting to “stop the SNP” while undemocratically endorsing her party leadership’s view that the Scottish constitution should not be debated by constituents. And this LibDem MP, Christine Jardine, professes to be a democrat?
The Unionist LibDem party is in pole position in my constituency, hence my initial thought was to use a black felt-tip pen on my ballot paper and scrawl on it “END THIS FAILED UNION!” Regarding Stan’s urged positivity/positive action to all indy supporters, I personally display the leaflet/message “Scotland’s Future, Scotland’s Choice”, which has generated debate from various people during the time I’ve displayed it on my car, and emphasising the point we are all second-class citizens being dictated to by a Brit government that says we are not allowed to decide on the constitutional future of our own sovereign country. Absolutely outrageous! I intend to draw up another with, “LOVE SCOTLAND, PROUD TO BE SCOTTISH” and a Yes logo alongside it. I hope other Scotindy campaigners consider such a catchy message.
Positive waves! SPRING HAS ARRIVED – LET’S DO IT!

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
