A SCOTTISH indie band led a chant of "f*** the Tories" before a Rod Stewart tribute act took to the stage in Glasgow on Tuesday.

The Snuts, comprising Jack Cochrane, Joe McGillveray, Callum Wilson and Jordan Mackay, were joined by Garry Pease, a Rod Stewart tribute performer at the Barrowland Ballroom on Tuesday night.

In a video shared by Pease, the Glasgow crowd can be heard shouting "F*** the Tories" before erupting into cheers when Pease takes to the stage.

The footage was posted with the caption: "Appearing with The Snuts at Barrowlands, Glasgow! These guys are gonna be massive!"

The band, from Whitburn, West Lothian, recently left their record label to have more creative control for their new studio album Millennials, which was released on Friday,

Previously, The Snuts recorded most of their music on tour. However, they "returned to their roots" with Millennials and recorded the “heart and soul of the album” in the Highlands.
